I didn't grow up with a blueprint for the life I'm living. I grew up blue collar, in a small town, with the kind of childhood that leaves marks. Significant trauma in my teen years. The kind of hard that either breaks you or builds something in you that nothing else can touch.
For me β by the grace of God β it built something.
I became an attorney. Spent 26 years practicing law, specializing in estate planning and business formations. I built my own firm. I served hundreds of business owners β helping them structure, protect, and plan the businesses they'd poured their lives into. I became a 4x international bestselling author along the way. And then I sold the firm. Not because something went wrong. Because something was calling.
That calling became Aurora Collective β a faith-based ecosystem for women that I co-founded with my dear friend Liz. A place where women come to be known, healed, and launched. Into wholeness, purpose, and the work they were designed for.
It also became Kingdom CEO Intensive β a 12-week sprint where I take everything I charged private clients $500 an hour to receive and teach it in a room full of women who are ready to build their businesses on ground that holds.
And it became this. These books. These retreats. These words.
I write and speak because I know what it is to fight your way to something. To overcome what should have stopped you. To look back and realize that God was in every single step β not despite the hard parts, but through them.
Pause on Purpose came out of a season when I finally learned to stop.
After decades of building, I discovered that rest wasn't a reward for finishing. It was a prerequisite for becoming. If you're here, I think you already know what I mean.
I'm so glad you found this.
